DeSean Jackson (shoulder) expected to play vs. Giants

The New York Giants should expect to face a longtime nemesis Thursday night when they meet the Washington Redskins.

DeSean Jackson is expected to play tonight, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported, according to a team source.

Jackson has been dealing with a shoulder injury that knocked him from the game in Week 2. He played last week against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The receiver was officially listed as questionable entering Thursday.

Jackson will test out the shoulder pregame to make sure there are no setbacks, per Rapoport.

Having the field-stretching Jackson is a huge boon for Kirk Cousins against a Giants defense that has quietly had a solid start to the season. Even if the speedster isn't 100 percent, Jackson is a threat that opens up the rest of the field for teammates to make plays.

In 11 career games against the Giants, Jackson has 50 receptions for 831 yards and four touchdowns -- including a receiving touchdown in two of the last three contests.
